Your new role

As the Senior Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and analysing the financial operations of the manufacturing division. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in cost accounting and financial reporting within a manufacturing environment. You’ll work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to ensure accurate costing, inventory control, and financial analysis.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing standard costing for materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Performing weekly variance analysis and cost performance reporting.
  • Overseeing inventory accuracy and reconciliation with the general ledger.
  • Supporting procurement with cost entry and supplier pricing updates.
  • Preparing financial statements, BAS, and monthly performance reports.
  • Driving process improvements and mentoring finance staff.


What you'll need to succeed

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a combination of technical expertise, analytical skills, and a proactive mindset. You’ll be comfortable working with complex data and systems, and confident in communicating across departments.
Essential qualifications and experience:
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA or CIMA qualified (or currently studying).
  • Proven experience in standard cost accounting within manufacturing.
  • Strong ERP/MRP system knowledge and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
