Your new company

Our client is a reputable financial institution that is going through a lot of transformation and growth. As part of this transformation, they are seeking an experienced commercial lawyer to assist their project teams who are managing technological advancements across the bank.

Your new role

As senior legal counsel, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive legal advice and support to the Bank’s procurement and commercial functions. You will play a pivotal role in mitigating legal risks while drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts to help ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and internal policies.

What you'll need to succeed

• Admitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia

• Minimum 6 years + PAE

• Specialised in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, including services agreements, licence agreements, supply agreements / purchase orders, distribution agreements and non-disclosure agreements.

• Experienced in identifying and mitigating potential commercial and legal risks associated with procurement activities.

• Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills

• Ideally, experience gained in financial services industries
