Your new role

• As a Senior IT Network Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering hands-on network engineering and security initiatives, with a strong focus on network segmentation, cyber hardening, and infrastructure modernisation.
• You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting secure, scalable network solutions while actively contributing to project delivery across complex environments. This is a highly hands-on role requiring both technical depth and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
• Key responsibilities include:
• Designing and implementing network segmentation and zero-trust architectures
• Delivering hands-on configuration and support across enterprise network and security platforms
• Supporting cyber resilience initiatives, including identity, data, and infrastructure streams
• Working with technologies such as firewalls, SD-WAN, network access control, and cloud networking (Azure)
• Conducting troubleshooting, optimisation, and performance tuning
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including security, infrastructure, and program stakeholders
• Producing technical documentation and contributing to project delivery outcomes

What you'll need to succeed

• Strong hands-on experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments

• Proven experience with network security, segmentation, and zero-trust architecture

• Expertise across technologies such as Cisco (routing/switching, SD-Access/SD-WAN), firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco, Checkpoint), and network access control (ISE)

• Experience working in cloud environments (Azure preferred)

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across complex network environments

• Ability to balance hands-on delivery with technical design and stakeholder engagement

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a matrixed, high pressure, demanding environment

• Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNP, security certifications) highly regarded
