Your new role
- Reviewing policies and procedures and detecting risk management and operational procedures’ weaknesses;
- Analyse policy and procedures’ weaknesses and provide suggestions for improvements;
- In depth understanding of policy and implementation and detecting weaknesses in the implementation of these by relevant stakeholders;
- Tracking and following up internal audit findings and remedies;
- Reporting to the Head of the Internal Audit Team for findings and post-audit remediation progress;
- Ensuring, through third-line oversight of the operations, that the org complies with laws and other regulatory provisions and HO directives
- Assist the Head of IAT to liaise with the Head Office Internal Audit Bureau and assist external auditors in their audit of the branch
What you'll need to succeed
- Good understanding of wholesale banking business operations;
- Australia local work experience in delivering internal audit methodology, or similar experience, such as internal, external audit, or regulatory/compliance experience;
- Understanding APRA, Austrac, ASIC and other Authorities rules and standards and capable of following updates and implementation;
- Skilled in internal auditing procedures, requirements and report writing;
- Excellent communication skills and audit project management skills;
- Mandarin speaking and writing is a necessity as you will be writing reports and reporting directly to the headquarters in Shanghai.
- Experience in one or more areas of accounting, corporate banking credit, anti-money laundering, trade finance, risk management, or compliance, within the banking industry, is preferred.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) preferred.
