Your new role

As the Senior Infrastructure Specialist, you will be working within an Infrastructure Platforms team who are responsible for the management of all data centres, virtualisation, automation, storage, backup and restore capability. The team is also responsible for providing after hours on-call support for the department's infrastructure. In your role you will be responsible for managing and improving the Department's virtualisation equipment and server infrastructure (rack mounted and blade servers). You will also be accountable for monitoring of the devices managed by the team and automation technology such as Aria Automation. This role requires producing design documents, build documents, operations document, handover and sharing of knowledge with other team members and mentoring junior team members.

What you'll need to succeed

As the successful candidate, you will have demonstrated experience and ability in:

• Demonstrated experience in few of the following technologies: HPE OneView HPE Interconnects HPE DL, BL and Synergy Servers VMware vSphere Site Recovery Manager vRealize Operations vRealize Log Insight.
• Demonstrated scripting and coding experience in: PowerShell PowerCLI.
• Ability to produce design, build and operations documentation for processes and procedures.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills to work with skilled technical people, including making presentations to staff and stakeholders and coaching staff.

*Successful candidate will be an Australian Citizen and hold/have ability to obtain a Baseline Clearance*
