A 3-month temporary opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior HR Advisor to join a WA Government organisation on a temporary contract. Working as part of a collaborative HR team, you will provide both operational and strategic human resources support across a range of people-related initiatives.
Your new role
Reporting to the HR Manager, you will provide expert HR advice and support while contributing to key workforce projects and organisational initiatives. Duties will include:
Providing advice and support on a broad range of HR matters
Assisting with employee relations and performance management matters
Coordinating employee investigations conducted by external consultants
Assisting with the development, reviewing and updating policies, procedures and templates
Creating and reviewing HR templates and documentation, including Performance Improvement Plans
Supporting audit activities and actioning outstanding compliance items
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across HR processes and practices
Supporting strategic HR projects as required
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Senior HR Advisor or similar role
Demonstrated experience working within the WA public sector
Strong knowledge of HR legislation, policies and best practice principles
Experience managing employee relations and performance management matters
Strong policy and procedure development skills
Excellent written communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
