Senior Financial Accountant

WFH with some travel to Melbourne CBD | Excellent opportunity to join an upcoming technology innovator
Hays Gippsland is now seeking a highly experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join our newest clients' team in a full-time permanent position based in West Gippsland/Latrobe Valley!
This position will see you reporting to the Head of Finance and work collectively across the wider business to ensure effective accounting financial practices.

You will be responsible for the following:
  • Manage month-end and year-end processes, including reconciliations, journals and financial statements
  • Manage all aspects of AP & AR and Payroll
  • Liaise and manage the audit processes, external financial reporting and ASX compliance
  • Own and manage tax functions, e.g., GST, BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT
  • Manage banking and debt compliance
  • Develop new financial policies and procedures as required
  • Review monthly ATO compliance
  • Additional ad-hoc duties required

What you will need to succeed:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Commerce/Accounting
  • 5+ years’ experience in an accounting team
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • ASX reporting experience
  • Have an adaptable and autonomous work style
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to synthesise complex data and communicate insights to non-financial stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail with a hands-on-motivated approach

This position offers a salary between $95,000 - $110,000 + super, depending on experience.
