An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Accountant / Senior Financial Accountant to join a well-established and growing organisation operating in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to senior leadership, this role offers genuine scope to influence financial outcomes, improve systems and processes, and play a key role in the ongoing development of the finance function. This is a hands‑on, commercially focused role suited to a technically strong accountant who enjoys partnering with the business and driving continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include

• Full management of day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliations, month‑end close and reporting
• Preparation of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow reporting, with insightful variance analysis
• Ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes
• Oversight of payroll, statutory obligations and taxation requirements (GST, PAYG, Super, Payroll Tax, WorkCover)
• Product costing and margin analysis to support pricing and profitability decisions
• Managing and developing finance and administration team members
• Partnering with external providers across IT, statutory reporting and compliance
• Supporting ERP system rollout and ongoing optimisation
• Contribution to Board reporting, grant applications and capital expenditure reporting

To be successful in this role, you will bring

• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion)
• Proven experience in a senior financial accounting or finance management role
• Strong end‑to‑end accounting capability, ideally within a manufacturing or FMCG environment
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with MYOB (ERP exposure highly regarded)
• A commercial mindset with the ability to translate financial data into practical insights
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• A structured, detail‑focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities
