• Develop and maintain technical design standards and specifications for sub-transmission assets.
• Provide expertise in 132kV primary plant layout, protection system design, and IEC 61850-based secondary systems.
• Prepare and review standard drawings, technical manuals, and construction specifications.
• Assess and implement new technologies and engineering solutions aligned with operational and regulatory requirements.
• Manage external engineering consultants and ensure quality deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across planning, design, operations, and asset management.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, codes, and safety standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and ACT Professional Engineering Registration (or ability to obtain).
• Deep technical expertise in at least one of the following:
  • Primary electrical substation design
  • Transmission line design
  • Protection and secondary systems design
• Strong understanding of Australian and international standards and regulatory obligations.
• Experience preparing technical standards and design drawings within a utility or consulting environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
