The IS/IT division delivers integrated IT services across all Australian business units, focusing on driving operational efficiency and innovation. As part of this transformation, major initiatives include consolidating multiple ERPs into a unified Oracle E-Business Suite platform and enhancing business intelligence maturity.
You'll be joining the Applications and Database team—a vibrant group of specialists in Business Analysis, Integration, Application Support, and Database Administration.


Your new role

As a Senior Database Administrator, you will play a pivotal role within the Applications and Database team. You’ll be responsible for supporting, administering, and modernising the company’s Oracle and SQL Server environments—including hands-on work with Oracle EBS (R12 or later).

Your responsibilities include:
  • Administering, monitoring, patching, and performance tuning of Oracle and SQL Server databases.
  • Automating database tasks using Linux Shell, PowerShell, DOS Batch, Ansible, and Python.
  • Managing Oracle E-Business Suite: installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and cloning.
  • Leveraging tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager and Data Guard for reliability and system continuity.
  • Mentoring team members and leading technical initiatives to elevate database performance and security.
  • Enforcing security and compliance aligned with industry standards.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing Oracle and SQL Server databases in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong scripting and automation capabilities using contemporary tools and languages.
  • Deep understanding of Oracle EBS administration and associated infrastructure.
  • A detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Technical leadership skills, including mentoring and implementing best practices.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in both Agile and traditional Waterfall environments.
  • Adaptability to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders, business units, and systems.
