A well-regarded company is building a new internal team focused on data, analytics, and AI. As part of this initiative, they’re hiring a Principal Data Integration Engineer to lead the development of reliable, scalable data systems that support business intelligence and machine learning.

Your new role

In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of scalable data pipelines using tools like AWS Glue, dbt, and Airflow. You’ll build ETL and ELT processes in Python and SQL to support both batch and real-time data flows, including change data capture. You’ll manage API integrations with key business platforms such as Salesforce, NetSuite, Jira, and HiBob, ensuring smooth and secure data movement across systems. You’ll also implement frameworks for data validation, testing, and monitoring, while maintaining data lineage and metadata for compliance. Collaboration with analytics and AI teams will be key, as you help deliver reliable data solutions that support enterprise decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working with modern data pipeline and orchestration tools such as Databricks, AWS Glue, dbt, Airflow, Prefect, or FiveTran
• Proficient in Python and SQL, with a solid understanding of data transformation techniques
• Comfortable integrating data from a range of SaaS platforms using APIs — including systems like Salesforce, NetSuite, Jira, and HiBob
• Familiar with implementing data quality checks, monitoring frameworks, and alerting mechanisms
• Understanding of real-time data processing and change data capture (CDC) patterns
• Experience managing data lineage, cataloguing, and metadata to support governance and compliance
• Skilled in applying validation and testing approaches to ensure data reliability and transparency
