Your new role

In this role, you’ll take responsibility for bringing together data from a variety of internal systems and shaping it into clean, consistent, and well‑structured assets the business can rely on. You’ll transform raw, inconsistent information into organised models that underpin reporting, analytics, and AI use cases, while maintaining the semantic layers used across platforms like Power BI, Fabric, and SSAS. You’ll ensure downstream teams have dependable, high‑quality datasets, keep a close watch on accuracy and consistency, and document the logic behind KPIs, calculations, and transformations so the organisation has a clear, repeatable understanding of how its data works.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Strong command of SQL.
  • Experience creating and maintaining semantic layers in BI or data platforms.
  • Solid grounding in data modelling concepts such as star schemas and shared dimensions.
  • Understanding of how to assess and maintain data quality.
  • Experience preparing datasets for analytical workloads or AI models.
  • Familiarity with dimensional modelling approaches such as Kimball.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms.
  • Ability to clearly document how metrics, rules, and transformations work
