Your new company
Melbourne-based innovative education institution is looking to hire a Senior Data Analyst to play a pivotal role in a compact, highly impactful Data Engineering Team for an initial 9-month contract.


Your new role

As an experienced Data professional, you’ll be responsible to improve analytics processes and code maintainability. You’ll also:
  • Build and manage data workflows using SQL, Python, and Databricks on large datasets
  • Design reusable data models for reporting and analytics
  • Create dashboards and reports in Power BI
  • Solve complex data issues and develop solutions in Databricks
  • Ensure data quality through profiling and validation
  • Collaborate with engineers on coding standards and practices
  • Use version control and modular coding


What you'll need to succeed

As an expert, you’ll be expected to work independently, contribute to shared code, and collaborate with peers. You’ll also need:
  • Qualifications in data science, analytics, computer science, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong experience using SQL and Python in Databricks to deliver quality analytics
  • Good understanding of Lakehouse architecture and working with large, structured datasets
  • Skilled in building and managing reliable data models and curated datasets for reporting
  • Extensive experience creating and maintaining Power BI dashboards following best practices
  • Familiar with data quality checks, profiling, and validation methods
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance in enterprise settings
