Your new company

A state government department based South of Perth CBD, are seeking a Contracts Specialist to join the procurement team as soon as possible. You will initially be engaged in a temporary position for 3-months, with a possible extension offered should all go well.

Your new role

As the Senior Contract Officer, you will be responsible for:

• Contributing to the development and procurement of complex contracts
• Liaising and negotiating with contract users, service providers and other internal and external stakeholders
• Reviewing and monitoring new and existing contracts for compliance against government objectives
• Preparing reports on the performance of contractors
• Providing specialist procurement advice and support to internal staff as needed

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be considered for this role, you must demonstrate previous experience working within a government department, in addition to

• Previous experience working in a contract management position
• A confident understanding on WA Government procurement policies and processes
• Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Advanced attention to detail
