A leading national construction firm with a proven track record in delivering large-scale commercial projects across Canberra is seeking a Senior Contract Administrator. This pivotal role will oversee contractual compliance and drive accurate fiscal reporting for their newly awarded $100M+ flagship Design & Construct development.
Your new role
- Lead the establishment of the head contract through to completion, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and conditions.
- Oversee the development, procurement, and administration of subcontractor work packages, ensuring alignment with project requirements and contractual obligations.
- Monitor and manage project cash flow across all contract levels to support financial health and forecasting
- Identifying potential contractual risks and implementing mitigation strategies to protect commercial interests.
- Coordinate and compile detailed monthly reports, providing insights on contractual performance, financial tracking, and risk management.
- Analyse contracts, identify potential commercial risks, and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard project interests.
What you'll need to succeed
- Ideally relevant tertiary qualification within a related field
- Significant experience within a main contractor environment
- Proven ability to oversee the full contract lifecycle, from procurement to completion, within the commercial construction sector.
- Solid understanding of contractual obligations, financial reporting, cost control, and risk mitigation strategies to protect project interests.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience managing subcontractor work packages and client relationships effectively.
