We’re partnering with a leading financial services organisation undertaking a large-scale Merchant Modernisation Program. This program focusses on transforming legacy merchant acquiring systems into a new, modernised platform that will improve efficiency, compliance, and customer experience.
As part of this initiative, we’re seeking experienced Business Analysts with strong domain knowledge in merchant acquiring, payments, and compliance to join multiple squads within the program. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to drive delivery, process design, and governance as part of the technology transformation.
Your responsibilities
Support the migration of merchants, terminals, and vendors to a new payments platform.
Collaborate with cross-functional squads to deliver on key workstreams (scheme compliance, interchange pricing, onboarding, and payments integration).
Document and test scheme compliance items (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and ensure regulatory alignment.
Analyse settlement and interchange configuration processes across payments systems.
Drive business and process analysis across merchant onboarding, payments flow, and migration activities.
Contribute to delivery frameworks and process governance for the broader transformation program.
What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for senior BAs with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Scheme Compliance: Deep understanding of Visa/Mastercard compliance frameworks, regulatory engagement, and documentation/testing of compliance items.
Interchange & Settlement: Knowledge of interchange pricing models, settlement processes, and system configuration in payments environments.
Merchant Onboarding & Payments Integration: Expertise in merchant acquiring, payments flow, process design, and integration across multiple systems.
You will also have:
Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst, ideally in financial services or payments.
Proven ability to hit the ground running and operate autonomously within agile squads.
Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Background in migration or modernisation projects highly desirable.
What you'll get in return
This role offers a 6-month contract (likely to be extended) and a rate of up to $900 + super per day.
