Your new role
Your new role as a Senior Branch Manager will place you at the heart of a dynamic Community Bank located in Virginia and Elizabeth. You will be an integral part of a robust team, responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance and evolve the Community Bank company.
- Attract, build, and mentor a diverse and engaged workforce, providing timely performance feedback.
- Drive retention, development, succession, and movement of talent through stretch assignments.
- Ensure employees are aligned with business goals through regular performance and feedback conversations.
- Lead, energise, and engage teams to achieve business objectives.
- Provide clear work plans, KPIs, induction, training, and development for employees.
- Communicate a compelling vision aligned with becoming Australia’s bank of choice.
- Create clear roles and responsibilities, improving team and individual alignment to strategy.
- Role model behaviours that recognise people for their impact.
- Integrate health, safety, and wellbeing practices into everyday decisions and actions.
- Lead a safety culture, ensuring a safe work environment both physically and psychologically.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professional standards, and innovation.
- Collaborate with Company Directors to develop and execute business strategies.
- Attend monthly board meetings, reporting and presenting results to Company Directors
- Occasionally attend local community and sponsorship events.
- Review and analyse profit and loss categories, financial risk, and revenue/cost allocations.
- Ensure completion of mandatory risk and compliance training.
What you'll need to succeed
- Extensive knowledge of the Community Banking model and operational requirements.
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret financial and business performance data, developing recommendations and communicating commercial implications effectively.
- Skilled in comprehending analytics and making actionable recommendations to achieve positive outcomes.
- Demonstrated accountability in achieving commercial results.
- Strong team leadership and management capabilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
- Significant experience in the Banking and Finance sectors.
- Understanding of the channels and markets in which the Bank operates.
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment for Financial Services.
- Experience within the Community Bank Network (preferred).
- Familiarity with the Community Bank Model and Franchise agreement or similar environments.
