Seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their Sydney office in an expanding Competition, Regulation, and Trade team.
Your new role
You will be part of a team widely recognised by peers and legal directories as one of the leading teams in the field. You will advise many of Australia's and the world's leading organisations on the full spectrum of competition, consumer law, and regulatory work, including cartel and behavioural investigations, litigation, merger clearances, and regulatory advice. Your clients will operate in a wide range of industry sectors, including telecommunications, tech, energy and natural resources, financial institutions, infrastructure, transport, manufacturing and industrials, and retail. You will work as part of both a close national and global team, providing career opportunities that are unparalleled.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience as a Senior Associate in a leading private practice firm or relevant regulator experience in Australia.
- In-depth experience in competition and/or consumer and regulatory law, ideally in both advisory and contentious work.
- An excellent academic record and a natural commitment to continuous learning.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for developing junior lawyers.
- The ability to work to tight timeframes, both collaboratively and autonomously.
- A curiosity about clients' businesses and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support the ongoing growth of the practice.
