Your new role

  • Pay: $51.95–$71.68 per hour + 12% Super
  • 10-week temporary assignment
  • Hybrid – approx. 3 days in office weekly
  • Northern Melbourne location
This position plays a key role in supporting inclusive community engagement across a diverse urban population. You'll lead the implementation of strategic communications plans and provide insights that help shape decision-making and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engagement strategies for local initiatives
• Design and implement multichannel communication plans and materials
• Manage campaign rollouts and measure engagement success
• Analyse consultation feedback to inform project direction
• Monitor content and performance of the council's online engagement platform

Requirements

• Proven experience in strategic communications and stakeholder engagement
• Strong project coordination and campaign delivery skills
• Understanding of community engagement best practices
• Ability to interpret feedback and present actionable insights
• Experience working in local government or public sector
