As the Security & Traffic Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of precinct security plans across Port Botany, Port Kembla, and Enfield. You will manage outsourced security contracts, oversee the Security Management System, and drive continuous improvement in security operations. In addition, you will be responsible for NSW Ports’ Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), reviewing tenant TMPs, and resolving traffic-related issues across the precincts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing precinct security operations and contracts
- Leading collaborative security initiatives with tenants
- Overseeing security management systems governance and optimisation
- Leveraging technology to drive continual improvement in security & traffic management
- Maintaining security risk registers and compliance with maritime security plans
- Developing and implementing traffic management and emergency access plans
- Engaging with emergency services, government agencies, and stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualification or 5+ years’ relevant industry experience
- Proven operations experience in precinct security management
- Knowledge of traffic management an advantage
- Strong knowledge of integrated security systems (CCTV, access control)
- Experience managing contractors and collaborating with government agencies, including Police and Emergency Services
- Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proficiency in Power BI or similar systems (desirable)
- Current NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle
You will have a strong client orientation, staff leadership and be highly skilled at establishing and maintaining productive working relationships with staff and stakeholders at all levels across large organisations. You will bring a big picture view of large-scale security programmes along with a proven track record in their assessment, upgrade and management.
