Hays Technology are currently partnered with a well-established State Government Client to appoint an experienced Scrum Master to a 12-month contract.
Your new role
As the Scrum Master, you will:
- Build strong working relationships with business stakeholders, and ensure business priorities are clearly understood, agreed, and delivered
- Facilitate quarterly planning, review and reset cycles, ensuring visibility of progress and alignment with business priorities
- Enable the team to determine the best approach to delivering each item, balancing speed, quality and stakeholder needs
- Share information with stakeholders, including corporate ICT, to ensure products align with enterprise directions and plans.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in attaining this role, you will have:
- Substantial experience (5+ years) in similar leadership roles, ideally within the Queensland Government.
- Technical expertise aligned with the technical stack specified, and a strong understanding of good practice and emerging trends in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to express complex ideas in plain English and prepare clear, accurate documentation. The candidate’s statement of suitability will be assessed as a demonstration of written communication capability.
- Agile experience (essential), and Scrum Master certification (desirable).
