SAP Test Director

Role Overview
The SAP Test Director leads the end‑to‑end testing strategy, governance, and execution across large‑scale SAP programs, including S/4HANA transformations, upgrades, rollouts, and AMS engagements. The role ensures delivery quality, risk mitigation, and business readiness across complex, integrated SAP landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own SAP testing strategy, governance framework, KPIs, and quality standards
  • Act as the single point of accountability for testing across SAP programs
  • Partner with Business, IT, System Integrators, PMOs, and vendors
  • Lead all testing phases including SIT, UAT, regression, cutover, and hypercare validation
  • Govern defect triage, prioritisation, and resolution processes
  • Build and lead onshore/offshore test teams and manage vendor performance
  • Drive enterprise‑scale test automation and tooling strategy
  • Identify testing risks early and implement mitigation plans
  • Ensure coverage across integration, data migration, security, performance, and compliance testing
Skills & Experience

Mandatory
  • 12+ years of SAP Testing and QA experience
  • Proven experience as SAP Test Director or Test Programme Lead
  • Strong knowledge of S/4HANA and ECC, including FI/CO, MM, SD, HCM
  • Experience delivering S/4HANA transformations or major upgrades
  • Excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills
Desirable
  • SAP Activate and Agile/Hybrid delivery experience
  • Industry exposure (Banking, Utilities, Retail, Manufacturing, Public Sector)
  • Large‑scale test automation leadership
  • Tier‑1 System Integrator experience
Tools & Technologies
SAP S/4HANA / ECC | Tricentis Tosca / CBTA / Worksoft | SAP Solution Manager / Focused Build | ALM | Jira | Azure DevOps

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field | ISTQB/TMMi (preferred) | SAP certification (advantage)
