Your new role
Senior Salesforce Developer within the team will undertake the maintenance of multiple applications supporting the organisation's digital Salesforce platforms. This includes solution design, development, monitoring and support, tuning, and deployment of services across the operational function and multiple delivery projects.
In this role you will,
• Manage and maintain the Academy’s Salesforce environment for stability, scalability, and reliability.
• Design, implement, and maintain automated Salesforce deployment pipelines, ensuring compliance with department security, privacy, and records management standards.
• Implement and optimise CI/CD pipelines, leveraging tools such as Bitbucket/ Git, and Salesforce DX.
• Collaborate with developers, platform admins and stakeholders to design, build, and deliver high-quality Salesforce solutions.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues, ensure optimal operation and support the end to end release management process
• Ensure security and regulatory compliance across all Salesforce development and deployment activities through Splunk integration, access governance and periodic audits.
• Manage version control and repositories for the Academy and other Salesforce initiatives when required.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to delivery teams, prepare deployment artefacts and handle non production and production deployments.
• Support continuous improvement of DevOps practices, tools, and processes.
• Perform incident management, antivirus install, backup, and restore operations as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or Business, combined with Salesforce certifications (Salesforce Admin, Service Cloud, Platform Dev I, Omnistudio).
- Salesforce Developer, Administrator, or DevOps Engineer (Essential)
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platforms and development (Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, etc.). (Essential)
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative team environments. (Essential)
- Excellent analytical andproblem solving skills with strong attention to detail. (Essential)
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities. (Essential)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Desirable).
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure Devops, Jenkins), version control (e.g., Bitbucket/Git), and DevOps automation. (Desirable)
- Salesforce DevOps or other relevant Salesforce certifications (Desirable).
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell). (Desirable)
- Confident communicator who can work with both technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Victorian Government information management and ICT frameworks or equivalent government sector experience (Desirable)
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, information management, and government compliance relevant to student data and online child safety.
