Excellent Sales Manager opportunity to drive sales role for the Turbomachinery Industry

Our client is a global leader in engineering solutions, providing industrial engines, rotating equipment, and after sales support across more than 100 locations worldwide. They are committed to driving innovation in the power generation, marine, and processing industries while expanding their industrial footprint in Australia. This is a new role with a key focus on Business Development.

Your new role

  • Drive business development for new turbomachinery equipment sales, expanding market presence and securing new opportunities

  • Support customers throughout the entire sales cycle, from initial concept selection to contract negotiation, ensuring seamless collaboration.

  • Liaise closely with global product centres in Europe, India, and China, alongside regional APAC sales teams, to align strategies and enhance sales effectiveness.

  • Manage enquiries and process data, preparing detailed quotations and overseeing opportunities through to contract closure.

  • Engage regularly with customers via face-to-face meetings and virtual Teams interactions, fostering strong relationships and business growth.

  • Proactively manage customer accounts, tracking opportunities and sales pipelines within SAP-based CRM to optimise engagement and results.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven sales experience in positioning and securing new opportunities.

  • High level of experience and knowledge of industrial rotating equipment (industrial compressors, expanders, steam and gas turbines).

  • Ability and willingness to regularly travel interstate and overseas

  • Qualifications in mechanical engineering

  • Ability to clearly present advanced technical concepts and solutions to a range of stakeholders

  • Knowledge of the Australian market for industrial rotating equipment
