Located in the southern suburbs of Brisbane, our client is a leading community-focused organisation dedicated to delivering high-quality services. They are currently seeking an experienced Rostering Officer to join their dynamic team.

Your new role

This is a permanent full-time position, offering a salary of up to $75,000 + Super. The Rostering Officer is responsible for managing the alignment and deployment of staff resources to ensure resourcing meets client demand for service delivery, while maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of operational teams. This role rotates between two function groups (Rostering & Operational) across a 7-day rotating roster, supporting skill development and capability sharing across the team. As a key service function, the role involves high-volume contact with frontline staff, requiring professionalism and a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling consumer services in a timely manner, liaising with stakeholders to ensure efficient resource use
  • Notifying consumers of schedule/roster changes
  • Managing leave (annual, sick, other) to minimise service disruption
  • Delivering results in a skilled, diverse, and deadline-driven environment
  • Investigating issues and collaborating on effective solutions
  • Performing administrative and reporting tasks to ensure compliance with regulatory and organisational standards

What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in scheduling within health, community service or social care
  • UKG Experience – Kronos software (ProWorkforce Management)
  • Strong data-driven decision-making skills to improve consumer engagement and financial outcomes
  • Understanding of clinical roles in aged care and community services
  • Experience supporting management with rostering of Clinical & Allied Health staff
  • Clinical rostering/workforce planning and strong admin background
  • Adaptability to changing environments and eagerness to learn
  • High computer literacy and comfort with various software packages
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with multitasking ability
