Your new role

As part of the People & Culture team you will assist with the implementation and maintenance of health and wellbeing strategies and programs to ensure the health and wellbeing for all staff and aid in the reduction of productivity loss through illness and accident or injury.

In detail you will

  • Assist in the co-ordination of the injury management process for occupationally ill and/or injured employees
  • Assist with planning, implementing, and evaluating the provision of occupational health services in accordance with business needs and legal requirements.
  • Assist with the provision of a quality occupational health service to the organisation through review of existing and new policies and programs designed and informed by best practice to ensure the best health, safety, and welfare of employees
  • Promote employee health and wellbeing and provision of information on recognised public health issues
  • Promote all health & wellbeing initiatives and programs
  • Provide professional expertise, guidance, support, and solutions on health & wellbeing related matters

What you'll need to succeed

It is essential that you are able to demonstrate experience in a similar role in a medium to large organisation. Essential
  • Certificate IV qualification in Work Health and Safety or related field OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in Health and Wellbeing role combined with ongoing professional development
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge in the development and management of injury management programs, processes and practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Workers Compensation legislation
  • Demonstrated experience in written and oral communication skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels
