Exciting opportunity for an experienced Retirement Medical Co-ordinator in a State Government Department. This role requires you to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary basis. This department is based conveniently near public transport.
Your new role
- Supports the appropriate identification of employees regarding eligibility for medical retirement
- Refers employees to the medical board to assess fitness and eligibility for retirement
- Administers and coordinates meetings
- Prepares all relevant documentation in line with legislative and policy requirements
- Liaises with internal and external stakeholders
- Primary point of contact for employees
- Administering referrals for any required assessments or services
- Provides guidance on career transition
- Helps prepare briefing notes and executive responses
- Complies with information security policies
- Undertakes other duties as required
What you'll need to succeed - Must have permanent working rights in Australia
- Human resource management skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving, research and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
