We've an exciting new role based near Liverpool as a Product Manager for a growing family business. The permanent role will be a Monday to Friday position based in the office with an excellent team culture and support for you to succeed. We are looking for an experienced candidate who would have product development experience, sound commercial understanding and an appreciation for quality consumer experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll receive a car allowance and bonus opportunities (KPI + company performance).

About the role on offer

  • Contribute to the overall market strategy of the specified product line
  • Interpret and maximise the use of sophisticated market research data
  • Develop promotional strategies with the support of 2 marketing assistants that are consistent with corporate image and supplier requirements
  • Research the market to gain understanding of the category and develop effective tactics to counter the opposition – customer industry trends, pricing, and competitor activities.
  • Negotiate with manufacturers to ensure the best price and maintain the competitive nature of the products
  • Attend product tradeshows and represent the business for new products
Something of interest? Here's what we're looking for from you
  • Experience in product management with a focus on B2B and distributing products
  • Management of product during its lifecycle, ensuring the product is performing at its peak capability through enhancements and fixes
  • Sound technical understanding and the desire to learn
  • Solid analytical and statistical skills, advanced Excel (Macro), PowerPoint and Data literate
  • Ability to interpret and maximise the use of sophisticated market research data
  • Knowledge of the outdoors, adventure, and camping industry is highly desirable.
