Your New Role

As a Fixed Plant Reliability Engineer, you’ll be responsible for delivering engineering solutions and maintenance strategies that improve equipment performance and ensure safe, low-risk, and cost-effective operations. Your focus will be on sustaining and optimising asset availability through defect elimination and maintenance engineering support. This is a FIFO role, offering a 7:7 roster, with flights available from Darwin, Cairns, surrounding QLD regions, and NSW, offering flexibility and a strong work-life balance.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• A Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering (Engineering Australia membership required)
• 5+ years’ experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry
• A solid grasp of reliability-centred maintenance and preventative strategies
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) experience for fixed plant equipment
• SAP experience
• Asset management standards (ISO 55000 knowledge advantageous)
• Basic knowledge of electrical/control systems and mechanical structures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, OnePM, Apollo RCA
• Practical experience with fixed plant systems, including:
  - Bulk materials handling (e.g. conveyors, chutes, hoppers)
  - Process equipment (e.g. crushers, pumps, slurry systems)
  - Ancillary systems (e.g. compressed air, gland seal water)
  - Classified plant (e.g. cranes, pressure vessels)
