Your new role

As a Procurement Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of end-to-end procurement activities across major Defence projects. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will contribute across multiple phases of the procurement lifecycle while strengthening your expertise in government commercial practices.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting tender preparation, release, and evaluation processes
• Providing commercial and procurement advisory support to project teams
• Developing and reviewing procurement documentation in line with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs)
• Assisting with contracts management and contract administration activities
• Supporting supplier engagement and stakeholder coordination
• Ensuring adherence to governance, probity, and compliance requirements

What you'll need to succeed

• 1–2 years’ experience within the Australian Public Service (APS) or supporting government procurement activities

• Exposure to Defence or complex government procurement environments

• Experience supporting tendering activities and/or contract management

• Knowledge of Commonwealth procurement frameworks is desirable.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational capability

• A current Government Security Clearance

• A proactive mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
