Your new role

• Lead technology evaluation and selection for rail systems
• Design and integrate solutions across legacy and modern infrastructure
• Engage stakeholders across engineering, operations, and IT
• Gather requirements and translate them into actionable designs
• Provide architectural oversight across rail telemetry, control, and safety systems.

• Driver Advisory Systems (DAS)
• SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM)
• Siemens Rail Systems (signalling, onboard tech)
• Rail telemetry, SCADA, and control systems
• Railway safety and compliance technologies
• Integration of legacy rail infrastructure with modern tech

• Experience across multiple organisations (not a career lifer)
• Exposure to mining rail projects (e.g., Rio Tinto, BHP, FMG, Aurizon)
• Comfort working with older infrastructure and adapting modern tech
• Experience in both government and private sector rail projects
• Strong communication skills to liaise between tech and operations
• Analytical mindset with a pragmatic approach to legacy systems
• Contractor mindset – thrives in short-term, high-impact roles
