Your new role

• Supervise and coordinate all maintenance work, including planned, preventative, and emergency tasks for mobile and fixed plant equipment such as mobile hard rock crushers, front end loaders, water carts, and service carts.
• Oversee and manage all staff and contractors, ensuring the production team, fitters, and trades are performing to the highest standards.
• Liaise with the Quarry Manager and Production Manager to ensure efficient planning of maintenance and shutdowns.
• Maintain Maintenance Management Systems, ensuring they are updated, compliant, and provide predictive reporting to management.
• Track work orders, both upcoming and completed, to ensure continuity and quality of service.
• Control expenditure within budget guidelines and report any variations to the Quarry Manager.
• Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance program, meeting specifications, service, and customer requirements.
• Foster a culture of safety and business improvement, ensuring Boral Quarries remains an industry leader.
• Encourage the implementation and maintenance of LEAN Production Systems.
• Act as Quarry Supervisor in the absence of the Quarry Manager, ensuring seamless operations.
• Report any workplace hazards, incidents, or injuries promptly.
• Attend training related to health & safety as directed.
• Ensure contractor compliance with Company safety requirements, including safety plans and Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).

What you'll need to succeed

• A minimum of 3 years proven experience in maintenance supervision within a quarry or similar environment.
• Trade qualifications in a relevant field
• Experience in fixed and mobile plant operations
• Strong leadership and management skills and the ability to drive a results-oriented culture
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency
