Your New Role
As the Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and leading the quality function for this new program. Initially operating as a hands-on individual contributor, you will be responsible for setting up the Quality Management System (QMS), achieving ISO 9001:2015 accreditation, and leading internal and external audits. As this first Quality member, you must be comfortable being a hands-on operator, which includes doing inspections etc, and over time, you will grow and lead the quality team, ensuring all program deliverables meet contractual and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Establish & maintain compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Establish the Quality Management System and ISO accreditations.
  • Lead Audits and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Hands-on inspections
  • Managing customer complaints and implementing corrective actions
  • Providing quality training and guidance to staff
  • Overseeing production quality assurance and MRB processes
  • Managing subcontractor quality performance and audits
  • Conducting internal, supplier, and third-party audits
  • Implementing and reporting on quality metrics
  • Ensuring compliance with WH&S standards and practices

Skills & Experience Required
  • Experience Leading Audits
  • Experience establishing Quality Management certifications and accreditations
  • Strong experience in Quality Assurance roles; preferably on complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and auditing practices
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and manage configuration control
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in design, manufacturing, and installation environments
  • Experience with Lean, 6S, or Kaizen improvement programs is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of quality engineering and regulatory requirements
