My client is a multi-site engineering and project management organisation currently accredited to ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 27001 (Information Security Management Systems). Due to significant transformation across our engineering and project domains, they are seeking a Quality Manager to lead the enterprise-wide evolution of the integrated management systems. The company is a leading defence business working across manufacturing and delivery across multiple areas of defence.

Your new role

This is a hands-on, strategic role suited to an experienced quality professional who thrives in dynamic environments. The focus is on deep expertise and practical implementation rather than people management. You’ll work closely with transformation leads and report directly to senior level management, playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of quality, safety, and security of the business. The position is a full-time role based near Sydney Airport. The role does require some travel across the sites of the business.

• Lead the review and realignment of ISO 9001 QMS policies and procedures across the enterprise.
• Ensure integration and compliance with ISO 45001 and ISO 27001 standards.
• Collaborate with transformation teams to embed quality into evolving engineering and project management processes.
• Maintain and enhance accreditation across all three standards.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the various facilities.
• Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders on quality systems and compliance.
• Travel as required to support multi-site implementation, with flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in ISO 9001 implementation and management.
• Exposure to ISO 45001 and a working understanding of ISO 27001.
• Strong systems thinker with the ability to translate standards into practical processes.
• Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Willingness to travel and adapt to a flexible working model.
• Australian citizenship and ITAR required
• Previous defence experience is highly desirable.
