Quality Control Inspector

QC Inspector, Northern Suburbs of Melbourne – Manufacturing
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-driven Quality Control Inspector to join a manufacturing team in the Northern Suburbs of Melbourne CBD to ensure each vehicle leaving their facility meets the highest standards of safety, durability, and craftsmanship. In this hands-on role, you will conduct inspections throughout various stages of production, identify defects or non‑conformances, and work closely with production teams to ensure our customers receive exceptional products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct quality checks on vehicles at multiple production stages, including chassis, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry, exterior fittings, and final assembly.
  • Perform detailed inspections using checklists, measurement tools, and testing equipment.
  • Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, or potential issues.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors and trades to resolve quality concerns promptly.
  • Verify compliance with internal standards, customer specifications, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and corrective actions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process.
  • Ensure all safety and quality procedures are followed within the facility.

About You
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, caravan/RV, or similar environments (highly regarded).
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to read technical drawings, work instructions, and specification sheets.
  • Solid communication skills and confidence in providing feedback to production staff.
  • Understanding of quality systems or continuous improvement principles (advantageous).
  • Physically capable of performing inspections that may involve climbing, crawling, or lifting.
  • A proactive mindset with a commitment to producing high‑quality work.
