Join a leading manufacturer of road tanker solutions on a full-time, permanent basis as a Quality Assurance Officer. This Australian-owned manufacturer is renowned in the industry for producing road tankers of the highest quality with a focus on bespoke, in-house manufacturing solutions for bulk liquid transportation.


Your new role

In your new role as a Quality Assurance Officer, you will provide oversight of the Quality Management System, which involves establishing, implementing, maintaining and continually improving processes to meet customer and regulatory requirements.


  • QMS Oversight - Full accountability for developing, implementing, and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001 standards, including document control via the Controlled Document System (CDS).
  • Quality Assurance Activities - Plan and lead internal audits, monitor incoming (IQA), in-process (IPQC), and outgoing (OQA) quality checks, ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance - Stay updated on industry standards and legal requirements (e.g., ADR, AS2809, AS1210, SLP, NHVR PBS) and conduct audits to maintain compliance with certification bodies.
  • Continuous Improvement - Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) using the 8D process for critical issues, analyse quality data, and implement systemic changes to address root causes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work with cross-functional teams to embed quality principles, educate staff, and communicate key QA lessons across the organisation.
  • Quality Control Systems - Design and execute quality control procedures to ensure products/services meet company and regulatory standards, maintaining effective QA records for design and build compliance.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Bachelor of Engineering in any discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 3 years of quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Practical knowledge of QMS requirements.

  • Practical knowledge of NCR and 8D processes.
