The Hays Darwin office is seeking experienced chefs for remote sites in the NT as well as ad-hoc, on-call, local chefs to help our clients with quick-fill coverage.

Our office is partnered with some of the largest suppliers in Soft Services and Facilities Management for the resource and mining industries.

These organisations specialise in local, remote, and offshore locations and are committed to providing quality service for the workforces at these locations.

Your new role

• You will work alongside other professionals in large commercial kitchens with the responsibility of delivering a high-quality meal service.
• You will be required to support and guide all kitchen staff while ensuring the safety of your duties is in line with H&S standards.
• Previous remote or FIFO experience is desired but not essential.
• Swing durations may vary, but most shifts are 10–12 hours per day/night.

What you'll need to succeed

• Currently located in the Darwin region of NT.
• Cert III in Cookery or above and a completed Skills Assessment.
• Experience in a bulk cooking capacity OR 4+ years à la carte with a willingness to expand your skill set.
• Ability to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug & Alcohol Screening.
• Willing to undergo a Hays paid National Police Check.
