An opportunity is available for an experienced Project Support Officer to join a fast-paced public sector project team supporting a significant statewide initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, enjoys coordinating information and processes, and takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative and project support.
This is a temporary position through to 30 June, offering an immediate commencement.
Your new role
Reporting to a Senior Project Officer, you will provide end-to-end project and administrative support to ensure the successful delivery of key project outcomes. Working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, your role will support coordination, reporting, records management and day-to-day project operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing project support by collating, analysing and maintaining project data and information
- Managing records, files and databases to ensure accurate and compliant information management
- Supporting reporting, scheduling and coordination activities to meet project milestones and deadlines.
- Assisting with monitoring budgets and financial tracking for accurate acquittals
- Liaising professionally with a range of internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery
- Contributing to continuous improvement of administrative and business support processes
This role will at times involve high workloads and competing priorities, requiring strong organisation and attention to detail.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a project support or administrative role within a complex environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
- Proven records and information management experience
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Sound proficiency in Microsoft Office and administrative systems
- An understanding of work health and safety and inclusive workplace practices
Mandatory requirements:
- A current Working with Children Check (paid employment)
