Your New Role
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting in project management and coordination activities, monitoring and reviewing program and project activities against plans.
- Contributing to the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance and technical expertise in specific areas of project work.
- Performing research work and analysis, including contributing to the preparation of reports on relevant project activities.
- Contributing to regular project reporting, including status updates and exception reports.
- Drafting a range of written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation for review.
- Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.
- Identifying and managing project risks, issues and benefits.
- Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
- Collaborating with team members to achieve project and business outcomes.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
The successful application will also have to demonstrate:
- Strong understanding of agile project management methodology to plan, monitor and deliver work packages
- Ability to meet critical deadlines
- Develop and maintain project artefacts
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision as an effective member of a team, using a high level of initiative to manage competing priorities
- Demonstrated experience initiating, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate complex information clearly and concisely through written briefs, reporting and presentations
- Apply judgement to resolve issues and make evidence-informed decisions.
- Ability and experience understanding and applying privacy and accessibility guidelines
- Advanced communication skills and ability to work well with stakeholders and manage expectations
- Well-developed Microsoft 365 Skills (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Planner)

- 12-month contract with possibility of extension or permanency
- Hybrid working
- Available in Wollongong, Newcastle, or Surry Hills
- Hourly rate of $60.26 per hour + super
