A large South Australian public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Project Officer – Data and Reporting to join a high‑profile project team on a temporary basis, with an immediate start available.
This role will suit a data‑driven professional who enjoys working in a complex environment, supporting reporting, analysis and continuous improvement outcomes across a government program.
Your new role
Working as part of an established project team, you will support operational and accountability requirements through high‑quality data analysis and reporting. You will collaborate with stakeholders across multiple work areas to ensure data sources, dashboards and reports are accurate, meaningful and fit‑for‑purpose.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting data analysis and reporting to support project monitoring and accountability
- Developing, maintaining and quality‑assuring data sources, dashboards and visualisations
- Coordinating data and reporting requirements with internal and external stakeholders
- Translating complex data into clear reports and briefings for senior leaders
- Managing competing priorities and delivering project components under limited direction
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and best‑practice reporting processes
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience in data analysis, data quality management and reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data visualisations and dashboards
- Proven ability to produce clear, concise, data‑driven reports for varied audiences
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- The ability to work autonomously, manage deadlines and adapt in high‑workload periods
- Experience working in a government or regulated environment (highly regarded)
A current Working with Children Check (paid employment) is mandatory and must be held prior to commencement.
