This role sits within one of Melbourne’s Defence Consultancies, specialising in assisting the Australian Defence sector with procurement decisions.
Responsibilities
- Provide project management assistance to Defence executives, managers, staff, and project teams.
- Perform planning, scheduling, and estimation of work/tasks to meet requirements.
- Assist in drafting key documents, including project plans, project execution strategies, and business cases.
- Prepare relevant documents for the Approach to Market, such as Request for Information (RFI), Request for Tender (RFT), Tender Evaluation Plan development, contract negotiation, and contract/deed amendments.
- Support risk management using the PREDICT application.
- Undertake other project management activities as needed by the Project Director (PD) or their delegate.
Experience required
- Active NV1 or above security clearance.
- Experience with CASG.
- Demonstrated current and relevant project management experience specifically within the defence sector or defence related projects.
- Familiarity with Defence procurement processes, including knowledge of Request for Information (RFI), Request for Tender (RFT), and contract negotiation within defence context.
- Experienced with managing risks unique to Defence projects, such as security considerations, geopolitical factors, and compliance with Defence standards.
- Proven ability to engage with Defence executives, military personnel, and other stakeholders effectively.
