Your new role
As the Project Manager for smelter‑related projects, you will lead projects from concept through feasibility, execution, commissioning, and operational handover. You will manage scope, schedule, and budget; oversee design, procurement, construction, and commissioning activities; and ensure strong governance and reporting across the full lifecycle. You will also lead stakeholder engagement, coordinate with engineering and regulatory bodies, and build a capable delivery team. The role is full‑time on a two‑year fixed term, based in either Mt Isa or Brisbane, with Brisbane‑based candidates required to travel to site in Mt Isa as needed.

What you’ll need to succeed
• 10+ years’ experience in project engineering or project management within mining, processing, or heavy industry
• A degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
• Demonstrated capability delivering full‑lifecycle projects from concept to commissioning and handover
• Strong understanding of governance frameworks and capital approval processes
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing contractors
• A strong safety and compliance focus
• Excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills
• A hands‑on, execution‑focused approach to problem‑solving and project delivery
