Additional expertise required for busy organisation's capital improvement projects. Based in Sydney you will report to the Senior Project Manager to act as the client's representative for assigned building projects. Your key responsibilities will be to prepare scope of works' budget/ estimates, planning and delivery of heritage maintenance and conservation projects. You will manage the delivery of a range of assigned construction projects for heritage buildings. All works are to meet time, cost, quality and safety targets, environmental targets, organisational objectives and client expectations.
Your duties will include:
• Facilitate input from team members and stakeholders and prepare Project Plans to manage the planning and delivery of assigned medium to high complexity construction projects.
• Deliver assigned tasks to contribute to the planning and/or delivery of large, complex projects as a senior team member.
• Deliver tasks in accordance with cost budgets and advise relevant Project Managers of cost budgets for tasks assigned to contribute to business unit performance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose new approaches to contribute to improved business performance.
• Identify opportunities for improvement as the project proceeds and arranging formal lessons learned forums at the conclusion of projects to contribute to continuous improvement.
• Identify the learning and development needs of self and team members and facilitate appropriate action to contribute to the on-going professional excellence of the region and the continuous professional development.
You will have relevant trade, post-trade or tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management, building or construction. You will achieve client and business objectives given that strict time, cost and quality parameters apply when managing multiple projects and delivering project components. You will also be able to identify and manage project delivery risks, including safety and environment. You will also have well-developed knowledge and understanding of current Work Health and Safety legislation and regulations and a current NSW Driving License.
This role is a contract position paying rates of $600-650/day plus super. Based in Alexandria with on-site parking the role is initially it is for a 12 month contract, very likely extended and involves working an 8 hour day 5 day week. This role is only open to candidates with full working rights in Australia.
