Project Manager - Data Sensitivity

Your new role

As the Project Manager – Data Sensitivity, you will lead the delivery of a key initiative focused on implementing systems and processes which improve how staff consume information assets through contemporary and compliant systems.

You will deliver a program of work from end-to-end, including project scoping and analysis, establishing governance frameworks, coordinating project delivery, and organisational capability uplift.

Working closely with senior stakeholders across governance, technology and operations, you will manage planning, risks, dependencies and reporting, while ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and obligations, aligned with NAA recommendations. You will also play a key role in vendor management, procurement activities and helping the organisation maximise its value from its information assets.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience delivering data/information governance, cyber security or technology projects within public sector environments.

  • The ability to apply a range of delivery approaches (including Agile and traditional methodologies) depending on project requirements

  • A willingness to apply project management expertise while also contributing to hands-on analytical work where needed

  • Strong capability in establishing governance frameworks, policies or controls to support information management outcomes

  • Proven experience managing risks, issues and dependencies, with the ability to drive timely decision-making

  • Confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior leaders, technical teams and business functions

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, technology, project management or a related discipline will be highly regarded. Industry certification and engagement desirable.
