My client is a specialist joinery and project delivery business, partnering with builders, developers, and design teams to deliver high-quality joinery solutions across commercial and residential construction projects.

In operation for 25+ years, and a leading manufacturer of custom-made joinery, they have successfully delivered joinery packages across a range of project types including large-scale residential apartment developments, commercial fit-outs, education and healthcare facilities and high-end custom joinery and architectural interiors.

Your new role

My client is seeking an experienced and highly organised Project Manager to oversee joinery projects from award through to completion. Acting as the central point of contact across site, factory and office operations, this role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoy a hands-on mix of site coordination, stakeholder communication and office-based project control, this may be the role for you!

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Being the primary client contact from project award through to completion, ensuring project details are accurately captured for manufacturing and installation
  • Successfully managing project timelines and deliverables, ensuring adherence to due dates and budget
  • Manage daily site operations, coordinating supervisors, installers, drivers, labourers etc.
  • Schedule deliveries and on-site equipment in collaboration with production
  • Forecast and book weekly installer labour requirements
  • Enforce OH&S compliance across all project sites, prepare and maintain SWMS documentation
  • Lead internal project handovers with Sales, Estimating and Production teams

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role:

  • Proven history of delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Consistent achievement of forecasted project margins with minimal cost variance
  • Ensure that weekly production schedules are met
  • Demonstrated experience in a project management position within the joinery industry (with a trade-qualified background seen as highly beneficial)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a client-first mindset
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle deadlines and stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of OH&S requirements in a construction environment
  • Full Australian working rights with the ability to provide two employment references
