My client is a highly successful development and funds management group. With a pipeline for the next 10 years across industrial, commercial, warehouse, industrial parks, and a highly successful development and investment strategy, they have already delivered over 450 projects, and raised almost $1bn in sales.
Beautiful modern offices 5 minutes from the CBD they require an experienced construction project manager, with a strong commercial/industrial/warehouse/multistorey project background. This role will sit in their builder arm, however the benefits of delivering your own clients projects and working far less hours, are huge.
Your new role
You will deliver our clients own projects working for their delivery arm. With good systems in place, ISO accredited, this role is on the nicer side of construction. Office based hours are generally 8am- 5 / 6pm with a couple of site visits per week. Our client retains the ownership of the bulding so its in their interest these projects are supported well, delivered well, and you are not burnt out, ready for the next project.
Coming from a contracts administrator background before progressing to Project Manager you will lead the delivery of these projects working with an on-site supervisor and dedicated OHS rep. You will report to, and be well supported by the construction manager. Their priority is to maintain staff long term to satisfy their workload.
What you'll need to succeed
As per the clients request you MUST have;
A formal construction related qualification
Coming directly from a builder
7 years+ of construction experience / 3 years at least in project management role
Experience working for a reputable VIC builder- Tier 1 or 2
Strong commercial, contract administration
Experience delivering similar projects, commercial, industrial, multi-story-related projects- $10m- $50m (not houses/townhouses)
Based in Melbourne ready to start in 4-6 weeks
