An opportunity for a contract project engineer to join a well-established commercial builder in Western Sydney
Project Engineer – Contract Role | Western Sydney

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer for a contract role on a large-scale commercial project based in Western Sydney, with a strong focus on Finishes and Fitout.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the programme of works to meet budget, quality, and safety targets.
  • Lead planning and defect management through to project completion.
  • Identify and resolve issues across project phases with limited supervision.
  • Prepare construction reports, contracts, and schedules in line with company procedures and standards.
  • Manage subcontractors and oversee engineering input from design submission to handover.
  • Report directly to the Project Manager and Senior Engineers.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery of finishes and Fitout stages, coordinating trades and managing timelines.

Skills & Experience Required:
  • 3–5 years’ experience in the construction industry (commercial projects preferred).
  • Strong competency in finishes and Fitout.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in project or site engineering roles, especially on complex, high-volume projects.
  • Expert knowledge of construction methodologies and standards.
