Hays has partnered with a power generation and sustainable energy business based in Queensland looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer/ Project engineer RPEQ to help deliver projects on a key asset in the North of Queensland.

Your New Role

As an Electrical Project Engineer (RPEQ), you’ll lead the design and implementation of HV electrical systems. You’ll manage technical documentation, ensure compliance, and provide expert guidance to stakeholders. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex electrical issues, reviewing designs, and supporting installation and commissioning.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• RPEQ qualification (desired) and a degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience as an electrical engineer, with a strong focus on high-voltage electrical systems (HV switchrooms, switchboards, cabling).
• Expertise in technical documentation, compliance, and Australian electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and project management tools.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
