Your new role
As a
Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of
assigned civil (roads or drainage) projects and programs of work. Working
closely with the Construction Manager and Delivery Managers, you will ensure
that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest
standards of quality and scope.
Key
responsibilities include:
- Leading engineering projects of moderate-to-considerable complexity and risk
- Managing project costs and implementing corrective actions to maintain budget and schedule
- Administering procurement and contract execution in line with project specifications
- Coordinating quality assurance and control procedures
- Providing regular updates on project performance, safety, environmental risks, and scope variations
What you'll need to succeed
To be
considered for this role, you must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Current “C” Class driver’s licence
- Current “Work safely in the construction industry” (White Card) competency or equivalent
- Eligibility for a Working with Children (Blue Card) and Criminal History Check
In
addition, you will bring:
- Demonstrated technical expertise in civil engineering, construction management, and procurement
- Demonstrated experience as a Project Engineer or Site Engineer
- Experience in delivering and managing civil construction projects
- Strong project management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, SAP, and other office software tools
- Working knowledge of WHS, Environmental, and quality policies and procedures
