Your New Role
As a Project Engineer,
you will manage the delivery of key bridge construction and maintenance
projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved within agreed cost, time, quality and
safety parameters.
You will lead site
teams and contractors, oversee budgets and programs, and provide accurate
reporting to stakeholders. The role also includes acting as Superintendent’s
Representative or Contract Inspector when required.
Key responsibilities
include:
- Managing project cost, program, quality and cash flow
- Supervising day labour staff and subcontractors
- Coordinating quality assurance and quality control activities
- Managing contracts, variations and non ‑ conformances
- Identifying and reporting project risks and scope changes
- Delivering high standards of customer ‑ focused service
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering
- Current Queensland “C” Class driver’s licence
- Construction White Card
- Working at Heights ticket
- Proven project management experience in an operational environment
- Strong contract administration and contractor management capability
- Experience in bridge construction and maintenance (concrete, steel and timber)
- Sound knowledge of WHS, environmental and quality requirements
- Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience using project or works management systems such as Excel, Project, SAP or similar
- Certificate IV in Project Management or equivalent (desirable)
- Current RPEQ registration (desirable)
